We are delighted to congratulate UEL International Study Centre alumni Courage Aigbe Okoro and Muhammad Nasar Khan on their outstanding achievements at the University of East London (UEL).
Both students graduated with first-class honours, with Courage earning an LLB Business Law degree and Muhammad graduating with a BA Hospitality Management degree. Muhammad also received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Student, recognising his academic achievement, personal development and contribution to the university community throughout his studies.
At UEL International Study Centre, students develop the academic skills, confidence and independence needed to succeed at university and beyond. Small, interactive classes provide a supportive learning environment where students can engage closely with tutors, receive personalised feedback and build effective study habits.
Students are also part of the UEL community from day one, with access to university facilities, including the library, online resources, Students’ Union and dedicated support services. This early integration helps students settle into university life, build confidence and make the most of their degree experience.
For Courage, studying at UEL also created opportunities to develop his leadership skills and become actively involved in student representation. Reflecting on his journey, he said:
“UEL International Study Centre has helped me develop many skills, including academic referencing and independent learning. I’m incredibly proud of everything I’ve achieved at UEL, and I hope my journey inspires other students from the International Study Centre.”
Angela Ellermeier, Centre Director at UEL International Study Centre, said:
“These achievements reflect the hard work, dedication and commitment that both Courage and Muhammad have shown throughout their studies. Muhammad’s Dean’s Award for Outstanding Student is particularly well deserved, and it is wonderful to see both students recognised for their success. The entire UEL ISC team is incredibly proud of their achievements and wishes them every success in the future.”
