Exploring London: Shakespeare and Dickens

Experience the world of William Shakespeare with a guided tour of the Globe theatre and enjoy a live performance on the timeless stage. In the afternoon, visit Charles Dickens’ London townhouse.

Tuesday
The Scholar-Hero

Embark on a day trip to Oxford, with a guided walking tour of historic Oxford, including such sites as the Bodleian Library and Christ Church College. Finish with free exploration time to take in the college gardens, book shops and markets.

Wednesday
Medieval Heroes

Enjoy a day trip to Canterbury and explore this historic medieval town and its cathedral – a site of great historical and religious significance.

Thursday
Modern London: Icons and Exploration

Visit the Tower of London, home to the Crown Jewels and a former royal palace and prison, guarded by the famous Beefeaters.

Continue with a guided tour of Westminster Abbey, the setting for royal weddings and coronations. Finish with free exploration time in the capital.

Friday
Travel to Edinburgh

Make a train journey to Edinburgh in Scotland. Upon arrival, visit the Writer’s Museum and explore the city.

Saturday
Sterling Day Trip

Visit Stirling Castle, the childhood home of Mary, Queen of Scots. Then visit the Wallace Monument, built in honour of Sir William Wallace who led the Scottish rebellion against English occupation. Return to Edinburgh.

Sunday
The Scottish Hero

Explore Edinburgh on a guided walking tour through the Old Town, followed by a visit to Edinburgh Castle, enjoying sweeping views of the city and its surroundings. Finish with free exploration of Edinburgh.
