Three of Malvern International’s newest UK university partnerships are celebrating an exceptional first-year milestone, with their inaugural cohorts successfully completing their pathway programmes and progressing to degree-level study.
Students at the University of Cumbria International College, University of Wolverhampton International Study Centre and Liverpool Hope International Study Centre achieved 100% pass rates across their pathway programmes, progressing to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a diverse range of disciplines, including Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Sciences, Business, Computing, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Law, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Social Work.
The results mark the successful completion of the partnerships’ first full academic cycle and demonstrate the impact of Malvern International’s pathway programmes, which combine academic preparation, English language development and personalised student support to help international students prepare for and succeed in UK higher education.
A strong start to three new partnerships
Across all three centres, a shared focus on student support, small class sizes and close integration with university life has helped students build the academic skills, confidence and experience needed to progress to degree-level study.
At the University of Cumbria International College, student satisfaction has been particularly encouraging. Satisfaction reached 97.5% among the September 2025 cohort and 100% among the January 2026 cohort, reflecting the supportive learning environment and personalised approach provided throughout the student journey.
At the University of Wolverhampton International Study Centre, students progressed to undergraduate, year two and postgraduate Master’s programmes across areas including Business, Law, Computing, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Health, Psychology, Public Health and Biomedical Sciences.
At Liverpool Hope International Study Centre, students from the inaugural cohort progressed to degree programmes including Computer Science, Software Engineering and Business, demonstrating the strong academic foundations established during the centre’s first year.
Together, these outcomes highlight the value of close collaboration between Malvern International and its university partners, creating supportive environments in which international students can develop, achieve and progress into their degree programmes.
Commenting on the results at the University of Cumbria International College, Dr Nima Nazari, Centre Director, said:
“I am incredibly proud of our students and delighted to celebrate the outstanding results achieved by both our September and January cohorts. A 100% student pass rate across all pathway programmes is a fantastic reflection of the commitment and hard work of our students, as well as the dedication and expertise of our academic and support teams.”
At the University of Wolverhampton International Study Centre, David Atkinson, Director of Educational Partnerships, said:
What makes this achievement particularly significant is that these are the first students to progress from the International Study Centre into degree-level study at the University of Wolverhampton. They are now progressing across a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, taking the next important step towards achieving their academic and career ambitions.”
James Findley, Chief Operating Officer at Malvern International, said:
“The achievements of these first cohorts demonstrate what can be accomplished through strong university partnerships and a genuinely student-centred approach to learning. Achieving 100% pass rates across three newly established centres is an exceptional result and a testament to the commitment of our students, the expertise of our academic teams and the strength of our university collaborations.
“These outcomes represent more than academic success. They reflect the collective efforts of our university partners and colleagues to create environments where international students can thrive, progress with confidence and fulfil their ambitions.
“We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved and excited about the opportunities ahead as these partnerships continue to grow and support many more students on their journeys into higher education and beyond.”
The results mark an important milestone in the continued development of Malvern International’s higher education portfolio, providing a strong foundation for future growth, student success and international recruitment.
As these partnerships enter their next phase, Malvern International will continue to deliver high-quality pathways that prepare international students for successful study, progression and future careers.
